AHLIANREVIEWS: Marant dress in black

This piece of dress is lovely! Luckily I can wear this piece if not I will super sad in this recent purchase as the Mono basic charcoal dress is gone down the drain.

The dress is like what is displaying in the seller's website, roomy and really suitable for maternity use. What I like about the dress is the dark black colour and the material. Nice to touch and not thick but would still feel warm in local weather.

The length is ideal as it covers just below the knee, best length I have always been looking for. I would say this is a must buy if you are same like me a UK size 12-14 person.

One thing to note is the sleeves, that is not really stretchable due to the design. Overall, I would rate a 9/10. I am going to order other colours! :)

AHLIANREVIEWS: Mono basic dress in charcoal

Previous purchase with the seller was pleasant and the dresses material is also good so that prompted me to search for the seller in Qoo10 as it is difficult to get a nice fitting dress that is cheap and nice for a size 14 lady. :) In addition, I am going for holiday to Hong Kong in end Feb which is still quite cold. So I need to look for long sleeves dresses to keep warm.

I ordered the mono basic dress in charcoal in size XL thinking it should be quite roomy based on the description and photos. However, although the material is stretchy, it fits more for a M/L person. My tummy is showing up on side view and the whole dress is so stretched. Looks like a bursting wrapped dumpling!

I think the seller must be referring to thin women when the site says it can be used as a maternity dress. Women as thin as the model who should be weighing less than 50 kg and above 1.65cm.

I would need to lose some weight if I really want to wear this dress! :)

True Religion Julie Stretch from Shopbop.com

In my previous post, I mentioned that I was very impressed with the fast delivery with shopbop.com because the item was received within a week. :)

Sorry for the poor resolution as I took this photo from my iphone 4. I chose size 30 because this is a skinny pair of jeans and I was worried I cannot fit into size 29 which is what I am currently wearing. But you can see from the hanger that it can drop off anytime! haha... showing how fat my waist is... heehee

I like the colour which is dark enough to give a slimming effect. Material is a bit stiff for this Julie Stretch Stovepipe. Here is a quick recap of the previous image I posted earlier on:

Another nice pair of TR jeans that I found at shopbop.com. Seems like the trend for TR jeans is now heading towards white colour threading. This pair is cheaper than what I have posted earlier on at US$120.40. Shopbop.com states it give free international shipping for purchase above US$100. Very very very tempted...

True Religion Stella Lonestar Skinny Jeans from Neiman Marcus

Have always been a fan of True Religion (TR) jeans and have own quite a few pairs. Thinking of buying another pair because the last purchase was more than 2 years ago! My hubby introduced this website by neimanmarcus.com as they have some brands that I like, such as 7-for-all-mankind and TR. They also carry the more popular lines of bags such as Prada, Bottega, Balenciaga and Fendi.

There isn't much selection from the items under TR but I managed to spot one pair!

The skinny jeans from TR has never been cheap in my opinion. So when I saw that Neimanmarcus.com is selling this pair of Stella Lonestar skinny at US$154.00, I was very, very tempted... The best thing is, they have my size! Ahhh.... now should I? :)

Salvatore Ferragamo - Bucket Bag

There is something about the bucket bag that still exudes a fashion statement. The initial bucket bag that I came across many many years back was the LV Epi Leather bucket bag that my sis had. So when I chance upon Farfetch.com and saw the Salvatore Ferragamo Bucket Bag, it simply spells VINTAGE to me.

Maybe it is the way the model carries it or maybe is the colour of this bucket bag, somehow I am captivated by this bag. I like nude colour coz it is very sophisticated and goes well with any other colours. Yet it is not boring as black.

Some description of this bag:
It is made from calf leather and has an adjustable shoulder strap with drawstring fastening. I added this to cart to check out the shipping cost to Singapore. The bag is currently selling at US$685.00 + shipping US$38.00 = US$723.00 x 1.28roe = S$925.44 + 7% GST = S$990.22. Not sure if it is worth buying it. Maybe need to check in ebay.com to see if similar bag is selling and at what rate.

AHLIANREVIEWS: Tops from Jennie Shop - Gmarket

I almost forgot to post my recent purchase from Jennie Shop, Gmarket. Bought total 4 tops.

The quality is ok, just that they come in quite thin material. With flashlight you can see the handle beneath the top. So still need to wear a camisole inside, unless you have very good figure and dont mind just wearing a black bra inside. Maybe the recent hot favourite Genie Bra would work.

Bought another black top which is thinner than the one on top.

You can see the hanger looks clearer from the above picture thus this one is definitely more translucent.

Decided to buy a non-black top. Haha... simply too many black and grey tops and dont want loud colours like red and yellow. this one looks safe enough. still it is quite thin so need to wear camisole or Genie Bra type inside.

This top looks very nice on it's own. Material is not as thin as the rest so should be fine to wear bra on it's own.

Overall nice experience buying from seller as the delivery is very prompt. Another bonus is that per piece cost me less than $15, including registered mail. Super happy! :)

I still have a few dresses for my daughter because I bought a lot of dresses for her a year ago through Ralphlauren.com. Each piece of dress is like less than $50 which the local shopping malls can easily charge me $100 or more.

Look at how sweet the dress is..... The dress is US$34.99 and you get additional 25% off during check-out. At the current exchange rate of 1.28, it works out to be around S$34 before shipping cost.
